Bocchi the Rock! – up to 12 (end)

Super underrated show this season. Of course, I’m always extra sappy when music is involved.

It hasn’t been since WataMote that I remember there being a protagonist with such social anxiety in a comedy-ish series. There’s always the suspicion that they will make fun of the social anxiety but it doesn’t feel that way but rather does highlight it and bring an interesting awareness to it.

The frank modern including anime (and otaku) references was gold and well done.

This show made me want to pick up playing the guitar more… and I did noodle with my acoustic guitar while watching the last few episodes. It gives me motivation to work harder in my business so I can buy a new electric guitar next year. Maybe an SG.

I’m sad the show came to an end. Maybe I’ll add it to the neverending list of manga I want to read… though it seems like they animated everything up to the current original material.

Something about this show that I watched as it aired in 2004 to 2012 and then picked up in 2022 reminds me of this. As if something else was lost from 2012 to 2022 and only has begun to stir again.

YowaPeda – catch up to Season 5 episode 10

Didn’t enjoy the long flashbacks but really enjoying the character development of Teshima Junta more than I expected.

Mobile Suit Gundam – The Witch From Mercury – 11

Not enough people are talking about this show.

Better than Chainsaw Man, Mob-Psycho, Spy X Family.

This episode is a major turning point and a great way to shift from the fall cour to the winter cour. I can feel it shifting over to the more serious/darker plotline from here.

The pacing is superb and the balance between character development, relationship development, world building, plot advancement, and mobile suit action is just perfect.

This is the MUST watch anime of this season.

I can relate to Suletta’s bouts of self-doubt, self-defeatism, and getting stuck in a mental contraception of self-pitying delusions. Such is the importance of the alchemy of iron sharpening iron, honing and polishing each others’ value.
