you thought levi was cool and liked him before. well… fuel to that.
ah whoa…
i don’t think anyone is streaming this show…
go nyaa it
there’s a strange sense of nostalgia… injected with quaint romantic-comedy that never happened in 6th grade.
i don’t usually like/watch shows with this type of animation… but i am really enjoying this show.
i wonder if they had to pay royalties for all of these references…

harem-type visual novel with mystery elements… oh the tropes, oh the familiarity…
i’m not sure if i am going to continue this show… but the familiar landscape makes it easy to watch.
though clannad is still #1 for this genre for me.
it feels like they smushed hours of gameplay into minutes of show… and maybe into some seconds.

it’s actually quite amazing how this show got three seasons in such a short time frame.
the world / setting creation is the strongest part of this show with familiar fantasy theme items put together in an interesting fashion.
the comedy is … so japanese

“Plot Summary: It’s 1991 and the heyday of the 2D fighting game boom. Sixth-grader Haruo spends practically his entire day at an arcade in the seedy part of town, oblivious to the world around him. However, one day at his usual arcade, he encounters Akira, his female classmate with good grades and money. She may look out of place at the arcade, but she is actually a top-class gamer. Akira completely outmatches Haruo in one Street Fighter II round after another, and their relationship develops from this unlikely encounter. ”
i am a product of my time.
this strange nostalgia. this makes me want to play more games… and not just the few jrpgs a year. though i didn’t really get really good at games until N64…
this show is quaint, and sweet.

a very strange, hard-to-follow episode…. but it looks like it was intentional. this is based on a freeware horror adventure game made with rpg maker? exciting…(?)
getting the buddhist vibes with feeling of “trapped by desire” flow here though.
i’ll keep watching for now…
