so wow. we go from the most horrific episode 16 to the most too-good-to-be-true episode 17.

I was waiting (as was Rika) for that plot-twist… and it happened in the last second.

As a Higurashi fan this is shivering-awesome.

And the next arc “Satokowashi” hen… that word play right?

Sato = village. Kowashi = destroy.

Satoko = Satoko = the village’s child. 

(also NB Satoshi = village person). 

Episode 16 and 17 was a buildup to this… something with Satoko but what?

Hataraku Saibou Black – season 2 episode 2

Again I am thoroughly impressed by the physiology and the creative way they did it. This is definitely so seinen though. I like the neutrophil character design. It’s a bit weird how the male RBC is flustered by the “attractive” female cells. It doesn’t really translate well the physiology.

I am continually impressed with how they balance the reductionist-science-physiology with the playfulness of creating a story and interactions out of the immune system.

They did a pretty good job with the mumps vaccination adaptation story… I would have liked more of the physiology explained but it did the job. Of course the memory cell was the best in this story… and they did a good job translating why it took it a while to remember…. because the original inoculation was so weak.

 

 

 

The small intestine story was entertaining. They drew campylobacter so well.
